| ABOUT "TATTOO JAKE" Well, I have been tattooing professionally for over 25 years now......It all started in Northern Ontario with the first tattoo when I was 18 and I knew then and there that the only way I was going to be able to afford all the tattoos I wanted was to become a tattoo artist. Tattooed all across Canada since the early 1980's with long stops in Quebec, Ontario,Alberta and British Columbia along the way. The last 5 years in Ontario at Hardcore Tattoo before moving West to Hook up with the I-Kandy Crew. I specialize in cover-up and repair, high impact blackwork, cosmetic repair , scar cover and old school tattoos. The only place I haven't tattooed on the human body is the eye-lids.

APPRENTICE PROGRAM CLOSED .(APPRENTICE FOUND) I am currently NOT accepting applications for an apprenticeship of 2 years in duration. NEXT APPRENTICESHIP OPENING : SEPTEMBER 2008 I am relocating to the West Coast of Canada in August 2005,There is a high probability that I will start to accept submissions in February of 2006. Those that are considering application must: Send an example of tattoo flash you have created (one sheet of line art and one colored sheet). Your resume including previous art experience or schooling and a short letter telling me why I should consider you for the position.(Email is accepted) Cost of apprenticeship is :$15000 CDN Includes : 2 (REAL) tattoo machines, 1- power supply, 1- clip cord, 1- foot switch, 12- 4.OZ bottles of pigment, 5000 needles, 300 needle bars,10 boxes of 100 latex gloves, 1- 50 watt soldering iron, 1- roll of lead free solder, 1 btl. flux, 1 set of needle jigs, 8 -stainless tubes, 1- set of pigment drawing pens, 100 sheets of 11x17 cardstock, 100 sheets of vellum trace paper. minimum 500 hours of instruction and tutoring. Over the 2 year period you will be taught traditional tattooing and ethics. This program is not designed to be flexible. If you are not 100% committed to becoming a tattoo artist, don't waste your time and mine by applying.Also covered in the program will be machine building and maintenence, power supply operation and repair,flash design production and sales,customer service,and all hygenic and sterilization procedures and processes. Tattooing is more than just an artform, it's a lifestyle. "EAT, SLEEP, LIVE, BREATHE, TATTOO." is the motto you will live by when you sign on for an appenticeship with me. I guarantee by the time you have finshed 2 years with me you will have all of the qualifications and confidence to tattoo anywhere on the planet and make serious $$$ whilst you enjoy life to the fullest.
